Summary
Set in Victorian England, a performing dog jumps onto a train to escape his mean master and ends up at a small railway station in the country. Named "Jim" by station porter Bob, the clever little dog quickly becomes a favorite of the local orphanage children, especially Henry, a sad young orphan who daily waits for the train that will take him home. When a wicked business man plots the burning of the orphange, Bob and Jim work hard with the children to save it from doom in a struggle threatened by bribery, poisoning, dognapping and even an assassin who wants to kill Queen Victoria
