Summary
Set during the ever-sunny 1950s, this is the story of the indestructible Larkin family, headed by Sidney "Pop" Larkin, a dreamer and schemer who has managed to avoid paying taxes throughout his working life. That slippery talent has made him a legend with the locals who knowingly chuckle at the useless attempts continually made by tax officials and unwitting business "associates" to discover exactly how Larkin makes his money.
