- A weaving of mystery with real historical events with the quietly enigmatic detective Christopher Foyle whose territory on the south coast of England is rocked by the chaos and danger of wartime. February 1941. Still trying to get closer to the war effort, Foyle asks his well-connected brother-in-law to help him get a job with a naval command center. Meanwhile, a local murder investigation puts him in a dangerous bind between rival spy agencies
